Discover the wonderful world of circuits and craft a custom light-up card! In our creative journey, we’ll explore how to use and control electricity, play with different ways of connecting LEDs (“Light Emitting Diodes”), and learn how to source simple electronic components.
More specifics on what you’ll learn: the basics of electricity, circuits, and LEDs (light emitting diodes), how to build switches, and how to source materials for simple electronics projects.
This event is open to women, girls, and LGBTQ folks ages 16 and older. Younger participants are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Thank you!
Card materials include:
One (1) coin cell battery; one (1) LED; copper tape; one (1) paper clip; one (1) paper fastener; colored paper; assorted craft materials.
